Spring Cleaning Made Easy with DYC Vinegar

Vinegar. We all have it in our house, and use it in A LOT of cooking (or if you’re a true kiwi, making Kiwi Onion Dip usually calls for a bit of vinegar)

It’s that time of the year where we like to really muck in and give the house a good clean. I’ve found since buying a house, I tend to clean way more because I know it’s mine, so everything in it is my problem. Also I am a major clean freak and I tend to get even worse after watching an episode or two of hoarders….

I’ve heard before, use vinegar to clean. One of my top tips for using vinegar outside of cooking, is to put some in a bowl with water, and put it in the microwave for 2-4 minutes. Then I wipe the microwave clean.

Spring Cleaning The Food Nest NZ DYC Vinegar

Ta Da! That’s my tip of the year for you guys.

DYC Vinegar (a much known and well loved brand) has launched a new room by room Cleaning Guide. They’ve given us simple, easy, eco friendly recipes to make our own homemade cleaners, that suit cleaning every surface of your home.

I took their homemade spray to the test and cleaned my stove top with it. It called for a mix of Water, Vinegar and Orange Peels.

Smells good, easy to make and the stove top looks pretty clean.

Would I use it again? Absolutely.

    1. Ahhh kiwi onion dip is a real New Zealand thing. It’s basically reduced cream, some vinegar (malt is good) and a packet of powdered onion soup… it makes the best dip ever haha
